Nuova Defim's grating for one of the most important attractions near Lake Como

Almost 1 square kilometer of grating and Sterope 3 COR-TEN panels was used to extend the walkway leading to the suggestive gorge of Orrido di Bellano, a famous tourist attraction near Lake Como. Nuova Defim Orsogril — the Italy-based expert in special electro-welded mesh, gratings, fences, and gates for industrial, professional, and civil use — is once again the protagonist in this grand project.

COR-TEN panels allow the infrastructure to reach the spectacular waterfall in complete safety while fitting perfectly into the natural environment. Specifically, about 350 square meters of h1458 mm STEROPE 3 panels, about 400 square meters of 15x76 mm 30x2 mm grating panels, and 50 steps were combined to build the staircase that will lead the visitors into the deep gorge carved by the Pioverna river in more than 15000 years of natural erosion. Throughout history, the dark rumble of the tumultuous waters and the wild beauty of the environment have inspired countless legends and tales. Even today, these places are shrouded in an aura of mystery.
