Celebrating 60 years of success: Giorinastri Srl's remarkable journey

2023 marks a historic milestone for Giorinastri Srl, an anchoring and lifting system specialist manufacturer. On the occasion of the corporate 60th anniversary, we had the opportunity to interview Matteo Battista, the production manager, to hear the story behind the Italy-based company’s successes over the years.

Let's take a journey through the history of Giorinastri Srl. What is the story behind the establishment of your company?
The journey of Giorinastri began in 1963 inside my grandfather's kitchen, where Giori Giuseppe conducted his tailoring and barbering business. In that period, he ventured into sofas, chairs, and furniture jute strip production. In those days, numerous representatives were selling looms to various small workshops across different regions of Northern Italy. With his remarkable talent and sharp instincts, what initially started with just two looms swiftly expanded to four, and then six. By the early 1980s, equipped with a brand-new warehouse and additional machinery to enhance efficiency, the number of looms had reached an impressive twenty. Throughout this remarkable entrepreneurial journey, my grandmother played an integral role right from the outset, while my uncle and mother joined the company during the early 1970s.

What were the pivotal moments of growth that shaped the company's trajectory over the years?
One of the major growth moments occurred when my mother and uncle spearheaded a second development phase based on greater emphasis on quality and meticulousness. This strategic approach enabled us to enhance the recognition of our product and effectively overcome market obstacles. During this period, our business experienced remarkable expansion: in 1982, in response to the positive reception of our offerings and the growing demand for top-notch quality from our clientele, we acquired a new warehouse that currently serves as our production facility. Through securing significant contracts, we completely revamped our machinery and persistently pursued the development of novel products.

How did you deal with market changes and industry trends?
In the 1990s, we made a strategic decision to adapt according to constant changes in the market landscape and in our customers' production processes. Diligently observing the shifts in industry trends and customer demands, we realigned our focus from cotton and jute strips to more technologically advanced products, in particular polyester lifting systems.

So, it has been a challenging journey. What strategies did you adopt?
We tackled new challenges head-on by optimizing our production processes and upholding the highest standards of quality, especially in the field of lifting, to meet stringent safety regulations. Right from the start, our customers acknowledged our ability to cater to their diverse needs, benefiting from our prompt delivery and personalized assistance in selecting the most suitable products. This enabled us to refine our manufacturing processes, introducing necessary adaptations to evolving market demands. While focusing on these technical product lines, we also maintained the production of our entire range, implementing continuous improvements to ensure our unwavering presence in the markets we serve.

Are you planning to celebrate this anniversary?
Certainly! To commemorate this significant milestone, we have a range of initiatives planned. To create a joyful atmosphere of togetherness, we will enjoy a delightful company lunch.

All these achievements, challenges, and transformations have contributed to shaping the identity and strength of Giorinastri Srl. We at expometals.net are confident that in the coming years it will continue to write new pages of success, keeping the spirit of innovation alive and adapting to the ever-changing market. We wish Giorinastri Srl a happy anniversary and many future milestones to celebrate!
