Logistics according to Propagroup: how to rainproof your crates

Transport and storage crates are often exposed to many risk factors such as weather, UV rays, and frequent handling. Plastics, commonly used to cover wooden packaging and cages, can break under the weight of water and thus damage the goods.

To prevent these problems - which very often affect manufacturers and distributors during logistics and storage - Propagroup offers STIROFILM, a multi-layer coextruded film made from a blend of state-of-the-art polyolefin resins.

Compared with standard coatings, which usually consist of a layer of polyethylene combined with metal sheets or multi-wall sheets, STIROFILM puts together strength and flexibility in a single solution. Exceptional resistance to both mechanical stress and perforation makes it perfect for frequent handling and stacking of crates.

STIROFILM is quick and easy to apply: a simple stapler is enough to anchor it to the wooden box. If necessary, the film can also be heat-sealed with a polyethylene impulse welding machine. Special treatments such as flame retardant can be carried out on request.

STIROFILM can be supplied in rolls up to a maximum height of 8 meters and is also available in sheets. For more information, please contact the company via the references on the left.
