Itipack: advanced strapping technology for tubes, profiles, and long products

With more than five decades of experience in the metalworking industry, Itipack continues to set benchmarks in strapping technology for steel and aluminum tubes, profiles, and long products. Since 1970, the company has been developing solutions that combine robustness, flexibility, and operational safety, addressing the increasingly demanding requirements of modern production lines.

Designed for both heavy-duty and medium-duty applications, Itipack strapping machines are engineered to ensure consistent and reliable strapping of long metal bundles. Their modular design allows seamless integration into a wide range of industrial environments, while maintaining high performance even in continuous and demanding operating conditions.

Advanced strapping technologies for long metal products

At the core of the system is the availability of proven technologies, including the sealless notching joint and the Argon welding joint, both widely recognized as industry-leading solutions in terms of strength and reliability.

For applications where operating cost optimization is a priority, Itipack also offers an alternative solution based on PET strapping heads, capable of handling PET straps up to 32 mm while delivering equivalent strapping performance.

Flexible configurations for integrated production lines

Flexibility remains a key element of the Itipack philosophy. Machines can be supplied in fixed or movable configurations and further enhanced with a wide range of optional features designed to improve maintainability, safety, and process control. Among these, manual or automatic strapping head retraction systems allow safe and efficient access during maintenance operations, reducing downtime and improving operator ergonomics.

A particularly relevant innovation is the integration of an advanced welding control system, which provides real-time diagnostics of the welding process. This live monitoring capability supplies essential information for both process optimization and safety management, enabling early detection of anomalies and supporting predictive maintenance strategies.

To meet the diverse layout requirements of modern production lines, Itipack machines can be configured to work both with parallel or perpendicular exit lines, ensuring smooth product flow downstream. Additional options include systems for applying wooden battens on one or all four sides of the bundle, as well as the insertion of protective material under the strap, offering enhanced protection for sensitive surfaces during handling, storage, and transport.

True to its customer-oriented approach, Itipack works in close collaboration with end users and line integrators to deliver both custom-engineered solutions and standardized machines, always with the objective of ensuring operational continuity, long-term reliability, and compliance with the highest safety standards.
