Pan Chemicals, Quality Management System UNI EN ISO 9001: 2008, is totally dedicated to wire drawing industry and, in particular, the ferrous and alloy wire market. The main products being wire drawing lubricants and coatings. Ecology and environmental safety have been foremost in our aim to the development of all the new products.
The application of the new European Rule REACH has given a further push toward the development of new products which are completely safe for the operators and the environment. The most evident consequence related to the wire industry is the elimination of the borax in the formulation of the drawing lubricants and the coatings. Most of the sodium lubricants and most of the coatings contain a significant quantity of borax and many drawing processes are based on the borax coating. Our R&D has long been focused on these two issues. Through experimentation and close co-operation with key accounts, we have developed, approved and commercialized many new products to comply with the REACH normative.
In particular we’d like to give a special mention to our new Series PANLUBE S 1500 sodium lubricants. These products are free of borax, nitrates, nitrites, phosphates, carbonates, chlorides, they are safe and ecologically friendly and suitable for the high speed drawing of high carbon steel wire, steel cord wire and stainless steel wire.
With this same philosophy in mind, we have designed the new pre-coatings such as the PANCOVER 4700 Series to meet the most stringent demands for drawing carbon and stainless steel wires.
