Condoroil: a new plant for the continuous regeneration of quenching oils
In response to the request of an important Italian group that performs the oil quenching of steel wire rods, an experimental pilot plant was launched, aimed at selecting the optimum technology for the continuous purification of quenching oils.
After the first failures with the use of physical separation systems such as decanting, centrifugation and flotation, Condoroil passed to test the tangential filtration technology until the company found the best compromise between operating cost and qualitative result. The unit thus defined, named DIANA TP, has very similar characteristics to those of the unit Diana, already used to regenerate used oils in lubrication, and differs from this one only for the different membrane selected.
