New nanotechnological passivating agent for aluminum surface treatment
CONDORCOAT 64 is the evolution of nanotechnological products used in the preparation of the extruded and diecasted aluminium surfaces prior to painting.
It is a chrome free, titanium and resins based passivating product , enriched with cobalt salts. The product is mainly applied in the field of electronic and telecommunication , it is used as passivating agent for data and signals transmission devises in aluminium and alloys.
The presence of cobalt in the formula reduces the superficial electrical conductivity assuring a better operation of these electrical systems. The product guarantees a corrosion resistance on painted aluminium which is equal to the one provided by the traditional chrome passivation, painted material reaches at least 170 hours in salt spray fog.
The higher corrosion resistance on bare aluminium makes the product much more performing compared to the similar non chrome passivating agents on the market This passivating agent is a new and valid alternative to the nanotechological passivation for light alloys which are today present on the market .
