Bartell Machinery reaching for the STARs

Bartell Machinery Systems is proud to announce that it has been awarded STAR status in the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Voluntary Protection Program (VPP). This exclusive program status recognizes an organizations demonstrated application of efforts in the prevention and control of occupational safety and health hazards leading to industry best safety standards. Currently, there are only 2,195 facilities in the United States with this certification level and only 58 in New York State.

The VPP certification process consists of a collaborative effort with OSHA in which every aspect of the operation is reviewed and evaluated including environmental health and safety (EHS) compliance, training, record-keeping, metrics and performance, facility condition, employee knowledge and safety awareness, management commitment, and demonstrated continuous improvement.
