Spiraling machines for metal wires

OMA’s spiraling machines are designed for metal and textile wire deposition onto cables and tubes, enhancing their mechanical and electrical characteristics. Three series are currently available.

- SPR-70: engineered for screening cables with copper and aluminum wires (Ø 0.10–0.30 mm) and reinforcing with textile yarns or fiberglass. Available with 8, 12, 16, or 24 spools, it reaches speeds of 0–500 rpm and can be equipped with a taping unit for polyester, aluminum, and copper.

- SPRT/L: ideal for reinforcing thermoplastic hoses and fiber optic cables, it ensures high productivity up to 1200 rpm and constant wire tension. The compact design and electronic control system streamline production and ensure integration with extruders and taping units.

- SPRW: developed for manufacturing rubber, thermoplastic, and PTFE tubes reinforced with high-tensile steel wire. This line offers double the output of conventional systems, while improving hose quality and performance in terms of pressure resistance and longevity. Available in single- or multi-wire configurations, these machines feature a patented wire tension control system and are equipped with automatic and semi-automatic loaders for quick spool changes.

Wire and cable winders

OMA provides a complete range of winders for textile and metal wires, grouped into two main categories.

- Semi-automatic winders: includes the BSL series, featuring 2- or 4-bobbin winding machines for textile, aramid fibers, and metal wires (copper, aluminum, steel, bronze). Equipped with meter counters and electronic control, they ensure precise winding and automatic stop in case of wire breakage. The BS1-BTRM handles up to 48 wires per spool (Ø 0.12–0.7 mm) at speeds up to 700 m/min. With the CDE 300 motorized pay-off, it reduces winding time, improves braid quality, and minimizes maintenance.

- Automatic winders: includes the BTA series, with 2- or 4-spindles automatic winding machines for textile and metal wires, operating at up to 6000 rpm. These machines automatically manage winding, unloading, loading, and cutting, optimizing production without continuous operator input.
