New semi-automatic double take-up by PS Costruzioni Meccaniche

Founded in 1960 by Stefano Parma, PS Costruzioni Meccaniche is today a global leader in packaging solutions for the wire and cable industry, with more than 680 systems installed across five continents and fully in-house production, from mechanical design to software development.

The company has recently installed a semi-automatic double take-up, Mod. PS 1650 DTU-S, at one of its customers’ facilities, confirming its commitment to developing solutions for extrusion lines and rewinding lines dedicated to the cable industry.

New installation: flexibility for extrusion and rewinding lines

The line can operate in tandem with an extruder or be integrated into a rewinding line with a portal pay-off, offering a flexible configuration for different production layouts.

The project was developed in response to the need for a more versatile line capable of processing a wider range of cables and reels. The semi-automatic double take-up PS 1650 DTU-S is designed to handle cables up to 30 mm in diameter and reels up to 1650 mm.
