Connected vehicles, the energy transition, and the rapid expansion of AI infrastructure are placing new demands on cable manufacturing. At wire China 2026, Rosendahl Nextrom will address these evolving requirements with production technologies designed for the mobility, energy, and communication sectors, with a focus on process stability, automation, material efficiency, and productivity.

 

Connected vehicles push cable performance forward

 

As vehicles become increasingly connected, automotive datacom cables must support reliable, high-performance data transmission. Rosendahl addresses their production with extrusion technology for foamed and solid cable insulation, designed to ensure high dimensional accuracy. Intelligent line control, digital process monitoring, and integrated automation help reduce material consumption and start-up scrap while maintaining stable, reproducible quality.

 

The company’s solutions for mobility also extend to busbars and hairpin wires increasingly used in e-mobility. Rosendahl’s extrusion technology enables precise insulation with high-performance polymers while maintaining high process stability.

 

High-speed insulation and shielding for the energy sector

 

For power cable production, Rosendahl will introduce its first fully standardized high-speed insulation line, developed for common applications with a focus on output, material efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The system is particularly suited to the processing of LSOH/HFFR compounds.

 

The company will also highlight its metal tape forming, welding, and corrugation technology for long-length metallic shielding layers used in submarine cables and superconductors. The same platform can process stainless steel, aluminum, and copper tapes, while its welding technology produces water- and gas-tight longitudinal seams over continuous lengths of several kilometers.

AI infrastructure puts data transmission in focus

 

The expansion of AI infrastructure is also driving demand for fast, reliable, and energy-efficient connections within modern data centers and networks. For Twinax cables, Rosendahl offers high-temperature foaming technology for cable insulation, targeting applications where very high data transmission rates, low latency, and temperature resistance are required.

 

On the fiber side, Nextrom provides manufacturing solutions for data center interconnectivity, covering rollable ribbons, rollable ribbon “super bundles,” and premises cables for rack-level connections. These technologies support compact, high-fiber-count cable designs for high-capacity data center networks.

 

Local support for the Chinese market

 

Alongside its production technologies, Rosendahl Nextrom will highlight its local service capabilities in China. The company combines its China-based team with support from its headquarters and has recently expanded its service offering with a digital customer portal, improved warehouse infrastructure, and new service packages.
