RoSET: full MV manufacturing concept from Rosendahl
In 2018, Rosendahl Nextrom GmbH and HV Cable Solutions Ltd. came together to develop RoSet, a state-of-the-art extrusion technology for power cables up to 30/36 kV. The two companies’ extensive know-how combined gave shape to a unique MV PPC cable manufacturing concept, totally new to the market.
Before the cooperation, many tests were conducted for PPC solutions in the 15 kV, 20 kV and 30 kV voltage classes. Later tests performed on 20 kV and 30 kV cable production run with Rosendahl RM-A line under real manufacturing conditions proved the concept, resulting in an enhanced, high-performance RM-A production line optimized for PPC.
The RoSET technology combines an RM-A horizontal, triple-layer MV insulation line with Polypropylene based compounds, to create the perfect solution for cable makers willing to enter a new market and boost their competitive position.
RoSET offers several benefits, most notably:
- lower hourly machine costs;
- higher machine output;
- no limits regarding production length;
- no degassing needed;
- less floor space compared to traditional manufacturing technology.
