Large double twist machines, the perfect reply to low and medium voltage cable Market growth

The right solution at the right time. The low and medium voltage cables market is projected to grow significantly, driven by rising demand for energy and its integration on the grid network, infrastructure development, surging construction projects including data centers.

As Thierry Pietroniro says:
“Our wide range of large double twist machines (up to 630mm² & reel diameter up to 2600mm) is offering significant advantages such as tripling productivity, halving energy consumption, and reducing manual labor by two-thirds compared to traditional methods. These machines can produce several LV/MV cable sections with the same single input wire dimension, making them highly efficient and cost-effective”.

Moreover, with a complete range of heavy-duty stranders and drum twisters, cablers, concentric and armouring lines, SETIC POURTIER has made impressive achievement in the field all types of power cables: overhead, submarine, High Voltage and Extra-high Voltage.

Heavy-duty rigid stranding lines, such as the RFS, are designed for high-quality power cables, including extra high voltage (EHV) cables. These lines can strand up to 163 wires and are suitable for various conductor types, including Aluminium Conductor Steel Reinforced (ACSR) and All Aluminium Alloy Conductors (AAAC) and trapezoidal wires.
