Latest WTM's technological innovations at Interwire in Atlanta

Over the past two years, WTM has developed taping lines for copper silver-plated tapes wrapping (shield) for low-loss coaxial cables, suitable for high and very high frequencies. An innovative and high productive line that the company will show during Interwire 2015, in Atlanta in April, 28th to 30th.

At the booth #571 of the fair, a taping compact unit, suitable for this purpose will be shown, provided with a taping head having a totally digital control.

While being it not a complete line, you can see the taping head in rotation, demonstrating the operation.

Thanks to the WTM's proprietary system, which controls the tension of the tape directly on the tape itself while being wrapped on the wire, the taping lines by WTM are the most sensitive and the most accurate available on the market and, at the same time, they allow to obtain the highest level of performance, superior to any existing alternative.

The module will also be equipped with the artificial vision system developed by WTM: VISIO SYSTEM®.

VISIO SYSTEM®, depending on the supplied equipment and the required functions, can act as a magnification system, showing on a large monitor the running process so as to enable the operator to evaluate in real time the correct execution of the work, or it can be used to make a deeper quality control of the surface of the metal cable and even to make measurements, becoming a process certification tool.
