This is what will be displayed on the monitor of those who have installed VISIO SYSTEM on their taping and stranding equipment. This in-line visual inspection system enables the quality control of taped and extruded cables and strands. The installation also allows the processing of data and statistical reports and much more.
VISIO SYSTEM is a stand-alone system that consists of one (or more) high speed industrial camera, positioned in the taping area or in-line with the machine, depending on the specific applications. Furthermore, it is provided with a lightning system, an industrial pc and an electronic board for images elaboration, installed on a self-standing rack.
According to the customer’s requirements, VISIO SYSTEM can also monitor the taping pinch, the mutual overlaying, the cable geometry and surface imperfections (color discrepancies, flawed geometry of the strand), and give immediate feedback to the operator and, in some cases, to the equipment itself.
The VISIO SYSTEM software, completely designed and developed by WTM, can also collect data from PLC and other dimensional measuring instruments (laser gauge, capacitance unit, spark tester, etc.), and elaborate statistical process control indexes (such as CP, Cpk, standard deviation, etc.).
