WTM: new order for single-twist cable stranding machine with backtwist pay-offs
WTM technical staff has recently completed the internal testing phase of a new cable stranding line.
This machine is part of a batch of stranding lines specific for manufacturing special cables: data cables, automation cables, automotive cables. The line is provided with pay-off units for 100% of backtwisting of the primaries and of the central core, and includes a horizontal concentric taping unit: in this way, the taping process is integrated in the process and the finished product is obtained in a single production step.
Here below the characteristics of this specific single-twist stranding line:
• a central single backtwist cable pay-off unit, for reels up to 800 mm diameter (1 reel);
• four double backtwist cable pay-off unit, for reels up to 630 mm diameter (8 reels);
• a cable taping unit with triple-motorized taping head suitable for 400 mm tape spools and pads;
• a double-pintle cable stranding unit, that collects the finished cable on reels up to 1000 mm diameter.
