WTM: vertical oven with mixed heating technology for special cable sintering
WTM has released a new video showing its cable sintering line with vertical furnace, designed to meet the heat treatment requirements of high quality special cables (cables for aeronautics, aerospace, oil & gas, chemical applications, etc.), such as uniformity of heat distribution, precision, and high temperatures.
The heating system of this equipment combines the effect of two different technologies: infrared lamps and forced hot air, giving this line a wide range of curing conditions.
Its particular design avoids two of the main problems of traditional vertical furnaces: the stratification of temperatures and the chimney effect. The 2 (or 3) zones with independent temperature control, can guarantee uniformity of heating conditions and are not affected by the external environment.
After the pre-heating phase, the cable passes into the actual sintering furnace, which reaches temperatures of up to 800 °C. The operator can select the operating mode and percentage of combination of the two heating methods according to the curing needs:
- only for CONVECTION;
- only for INFRARED IRRADIATION;
- with combined effect CONVECTION + INFRARED IRRADIATION.
