WTM's new line for coaxial cables producers

After the stop imposed by the pandemic, WTM takes the opportunity offered by this edition of wire Düsseldorf 2022 to present its latest generation of cable screening machine for the application of silver-plated copper tape for the production of high-frequency coaxial cables.   The pay-off unit has been integrated with a specific cable tension control system that synchronizes the line speed with the taping head rotation through the pulling unit (capstan or caterpillar). This measure ensures the process is fully stable while granting centesimal tolerances for the taping pitch and angle.   Furthermore, this machine is equipped with sophisticated devices for dimensional controls throughout the entire production process, such as:   - measurement of cable diameter and eccentricity before, during, and after the taping process; - reading the taping pitch and angle by using a camera for each rotation of the taping head; - monitoring the main production parameters (cable tension, tape tension, line speed stability, precision of rotating devices).   Thanks to the WTM proprietary software, these parameters - together with the signals coming from measurement lasers, load cells, drives, encoders, PLCs, etc. - are saved and processed online in order to analyze statistical indexes (Cpk, standard deviation) and frequency trends (FFT analysis).   WTM Srl invites you to Hall 11, booth D78, from June 20 to 24 to discover its screening process for high-frequency coaxial cables.
