Dallan in Poland with the new LXN coil-fed laser system: fast, flexible, accurate

After investing two years in research and development, Dalcos (Dallan coil punching division) introduces its most advanced coil fed cutting system. Covered by international patent, the Dalcos LXN Laser system is specifically suited for flexible production of medium and large batch parts fed from coil.

One of the main advantages of this system lies in its extremely simple working principle. The first element of the line is the decoiling reel, which stores the raw material. The in-line straightener eliminates the coil-set before entering the LXN laser.
Once loaded, the machine works automatically. The material is stationary while the laser cutting head moves freely, up to 1000mm in the X and Y directions completing all the required cuts. Part nesting is also possible.

This machine is powered by a 1kW fiber laser source, suitable to process thin materials with optimal speed. The fiber laser technology joins high efficiency to low maintenance costs, and is extremely cost-effective. The LXN system can be upgraded up to a 4kW.

The supporting system for the material is patented and uses a series of roller brushes, assembled on special transport chains. They support the strip and move with the cutting head while the laser cuts the material. Dalcos LXN Laser Technology machine with a Vega uncoiler processing a metal coil, showing coil-fed laser cutting and punching operations. Another important feature: once the cut is completed, the roller brushes are activated and the part is delivered to the discharge zone for the stacking. If parts are nested, they can be held in the sheet with micro-tabs and delivered to the discharge zone for stacking or manual separation. For the safety of the operator, the cutting zone is completely enclosed and protected. The DALCOS LXN system can includes a chiller, connection for cutting gases and an optional dust collection system.
Any coil widths up to 1000mm for the LXN 1000 and 1500mm for the LXN 1500.  Both machine cut up to 1000mm in the X axis. With these capacities, the LXN systems have the advantage of having very compact footprint. Installation can be made in less than 30 sqm including straightener and feeder.

The machine utilizes AlmaCam programming software for single piece, part families (including parametric programming of similar parts) or true-shape nesting of all production needs. Dalcos coil fed laser systems offer the maximum advantages to companies that have their own product line: when working from pre-slit coils, the material can utilizations of up to 100% can be achieved.  An extremely efficient outcome compared to traditional systems working from sheets. Additionally, the time for loading and unloading the sheet is no longer required making the Dalcos LXN  a huge labor saver as well as an extremely productive system .

The LXN is available also in the combo punch/laser version called Dalcos ELXN. Some of the many application for the Dalcos LXN and ELXN systems are: road signs, metal furniture and shelving, lighting fixtures, frames for HVAC, automotive, door frames and all job shop productions that are suitable for the production starting from the coil.

DALLAN invites you to visit its booth #140, pavillion A6 during the MACHTOOL fair in Poznan, Poland, where you will have the possibility to learn more about the DALCOS production.
