Leveling and cut-to-length lines for metal sheets and coils

Leveling and cut-to-length lines for metal sheets and coils

The leveling and cut-to-length lines designed by the FIMI group offer excellent performances on a complete range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials, and for numerous applications. This is possible thanks to the TDDS® (Torque Dynamic Distribution System) FIMI's exclusive patented system that, through the application of special sliding couplings, distributes torque evenly on each levelling roller.

Lines for automotive applications

Specifically designed to meet the surface quality requirements and tight tolerances highly requested in the automotive industry. The most common thickness range is between 0.3 to 3.5 mm. They can process both steel and aluminum, even in high strength grades.

Trapezoidal and "multiform" sheet cutting lines
Equipped with an innovative rotary shear provided with tilting mold holders and an automatic mold changing device. These features make them suitable for different types of cutting operations (straight orthogonal and/or beveled cut for trapezoidal sheets, or straight cut for various shapes). The materials that can be processed include carbon steel up to 3.0 mm and aluminum up to 5.0 mm.

Multi blanking Lines
These are combined line configurations featuring a slitting shear for cutting the leveled coil into strips (max 5), and a subsequent cut-to-length shear for cutting the strips into sheets. The materials processed include stainless steel for household applications and carbon steel for the automotive industry.

Lines for high strength steel (HSS) and ultra-high strength steel (UHSS)
For hot rolled HSS and UHSS steels, up to 1600 N/mm2 yield strength. The machines offer perfect leveling quality to meet the special requirements of laser cutting. Typical end applications are: structural engineering, crane construction, lifting equipment in general, as well as poles for wind turbines. The thickness range is 1-8 mm, but in some cases, it can be up to 16 mm.

Lines for hot-rolled heavy gauge steel sheets
Intended for structural applications (thickness 25 mm). On request it is possible to add an in-line skin pass mill to improve the surface quality.

Lines for tinplate and pre-painted metal sheet
Designed for the production of sheets with very strict geometric tolerances. They offer maximum productivity (process speed up to 180 m/min), without affecting the surface quality of the strip.

Lines for stainless steel, aluminum and non-ferrous alloys
They make use of ideal technical solutions for aluminum (both thin and thick), taking into account the particular nature of this metal, the upstream processes and the fields of application.

Based on the production parameters, the material to be processed, and the production capacity required, different configurations are available (pre-leveler + leveler; cascading pre-leveler + 2 levelers) and types of shears (hydraulic, rotary, drum, flying shears etc.). Each line can also be provided with complementary devices such as tool brushing and handling systems, in-line sheet flatness & dimensions measuring system, and many other optional extras.
