Interview with Dr. Ziotti, Carlo Salvi, about the merger with Hatebur
Düsseldorf (Germany) - wire & Tube 2016, one of the most important international events in the field, was the scenario of the press conference of Carlo Salvi and Hatebur, leading companies in the production of fastener machinery, announcing the decision to share their future.
The agreements were signed last April 1, when the Swiss company acquired all the shares of the Italian one deciding to maintain the historic "Carlo Salvi" brand, all the employees and the factory in Garlate (Italy).
"Carlo Salvi is a leading company in its sector, with more than 4,000 machines sold worldwide. In 2015 the turnover grew by 35%", explained Dr. Ziotti, company CEO, "An important motivation that led me to decide to sell this functioning reality was the duty to ensure continuity to company, employees, customers and suppliers".
“Hatebur, leading company in the hot forming field, represents the ideal solution to ensure the development of Carlo Salvi, leader in the cold forming industry, and give it continuity. We are talking about two complementary businesses, not in competition with one other. The synergy between the two companies will create a reality of great success and expertise in the heading industry," continued Dr. Ziotti. "Together we can guarantee our customers a much wider and technically advanced product range".
Hatebur is a worldwide developer and distributor of hot and cold forming machines. The company was founded in 1930 and is 100% family-owned. It currently employs about 180 people at its offices in Switzerland, China, Japan and Germany.
Carlo Salvi is a worldwide developer, manufacturer and distributor of cold forming machines. The company was founded in 1939 and currently employs about 92 people at its offices in Italy, China, the US and UK.
The present facilities, said the companies in a joint statement, will remain unchanged.
