Hatebur shaping the future through innovation and digital solutions

Hatebur is approaching its 100th anniversary, confirming its role as a global leader in cold and hot forming presses. This long-standing success is driven by a clear vision, an interdisciplinary team, and a product development approach that is consistently customer-oriented.

Pioneering solutions that anticipate market needs

Since the early 2000s, Hatebur has been evolving the COLDmatic series to meet the increasing demands for more complex and challenging applications. This evolution included extending the number of forming stations from five to six and integrating a mechanical-hydraulic linear infeed system to enhance the cut-off volume consistency. The AKP 4-6 S marked a major technological leap, featuring six forming stations and a mechanical-hydraulic linear infeed system. This ensured higher precision in cut-off weight and more careful part handling.

From pure mechanics to servo-controlled flexibility

Through servo technology, grippers and transfer units can be controlled independently, enabling greater process flexibility and improved repeatability. With the COLDmatic CM 725, Hatebur integrated a precise electric linear-infeed and a flexible servo-electric transfer system, both developed in close cooperation with key customers.

Software and hardware synergy: towards smart manufacturing

Thanks to advanced software control, new features can now be implemented without major mechanical modifications. The adoption of direct drive technology for the press ram function further enhanced performance while opening up new kinematic possibilities. Production data is now systematically collected and analyzed, providing valuable insights for continuous improvement and predictive maintenance.

Digital tools for simplified setup and process optimization

In 2022, Hatebur launched an online timing tool that digitizes kinematic process design. Users can define part geometries, simulate movements within the forming stations, and optimize production parameters. Developed using the MVP (minimum viable product) approach, this tool combines practical experience with iterative digital development.

Towards predictive maintenance and beyond

Today, Hatebur is integrating edge devices to capture and analyze large volumes of data in real time. These systems enable early detection of process changes, prevent unexpected downtime, and predict component lifespan.

Looking ahead, Hatebur remains committed to pushing the boundaries of mechanical precision and digital intelligence, continuously delivering solutions that meet evolving market demands.
