2025: a year of technological expansion and advanced development for OMC-Wirelombardia

2025 marks a significant step forward for OMC-Wirelombardia, driven by new technologies, expanded capabilities and solutions designed for increasingly complex manufacturing needs. It is also the year in which the company reached a remarkable milestone: the delivery of machine number 500.
Since 1988 OMC-Wirelombardia has been designing and building tailor-made solutions for a wide range of sectors worldwide, including fastener and automotive. Its mission remains unchanged: to develop custom technologies capable of keeping pace with an ever-evolving market.
Research, development and new market needs
Throughout the year, thanks to the continued trust of its customers, the company strengthened its research and development activities. New machines were introduced to address demanding applications and advanced customization requirements, reflecting a shift toward increasingly non-standard geometries and special components.
In these projects, the company’s decades of experience prove decisive. Through solid technical know-how, integrated analytical capabilities and constant collaboration with customers, OMC-Wirelombardia can translate each requirement into a practical, reliable and competitive manufacturing solution.
Innovations developed and introduced between 2025 and 2026
In 2025 the company engineered new systems capable of producing unique components with the same reliability as traditional processes, while improving productivity and process control. Among the most significant innovations already introduced or scheduled for delivery between 2025 and 2026 are:
OMC239CN - electronic shank milling machines
A family of electronically controlled milling machines for automotive fasteners, including a new cambolt shank milling model offering unprecedented precision in an area where the company is already recognized as a global leader.
OMC574 - shank drilling machines
High-speed, high-precision drilling machines driven by electronic axes, dedicated to automotive fasteners and other complex parts.
OMC26PP2 - threading machines for set screws
Extremely compact flat-die threading machines designed for non-standard set screws, reaching up to 200 pieces per minute with excellent process reliability.
OMC59P - custom cam-operated second-operation lathes
Fully customized solutions built around specific customer requirements, featuring dedicated process cycles and integrated automation.
OMC96TR - induction heating machines
Systems engineered for alloy stress relieving or partial hardening, where accurate and stable temperature control is crucial to ensure product conformity.
OMC25SP1 - automatic assembly machines
Solutions developed to automate operations that were previously only feasible manually, thanks to intelligent part handling and control systems.
Additional second-operation machines dedicated to special components are also under development and will be introduced next year.
OMC-Wirelombardia supports customers throughout the entire process: preliminary analysis, design, prototyping, testing and cycle optimization through to final commissioning. This approach enables the delivery of production lines that are not only highly customized but also efficient, reliable and sustainable over time.
A future-oriented vision
The latest machines confirm the company’s ability to transform technical requirements into high-value manufacturing systems, reducing cycle times, increasing process stability and enhancing final product quality.
2025 therefore represents another turning point, reaffirming that innovation for OMC-Wirelombardia is not just an objective but an integral part of its identity. The company will continue to invest in research, technology and training to meet the rising complexity and customization needs of the fastener and automotive industries.
While developing the technologies of tomorrow, OMC-Wirelombardia sees every new challenge as an opportunity to grow alongside its customers, turning ambitious ideas into productive results.
