Enter FGI-A 1 A-250, the new OMD chamfering machine for even longer springs

OMD – Officina Meccanica Domaso is pleased to introduce the latest addition to its spring machinery portfolio: the new FGI-A 1 A-250 chamfering machine. This model features an extended stroke for compression springs up to 250 mm, expanding the dimensional range and ensuring greater flexibility when chamfering end coils.

Greater operational flexibility thanks to the programmable electrospindle

At the core of the FGI-A 1 A-250 is its programmable electrospindle, enabling internal or external chamfers to be executed according to fully customizable sequences. The machine is designed to process compression springs with both right-hand and left-hand winding, offering versatility for mixed production batches. It is worth noting that internal and external chamfers are not performed simultaneously; however, the transition between operations is fully automated and continuous, helping reduce manual intervention and unproductive downtime.

This architecture supports advanced monitoring of production parameters, real-time data acquisition, and more predictive and efficient maintenance.
