Great celebrations for OMD's 70th anniversary
OMD started its business as a manufacturer of machines for different industrial fields, specializing later in the construction of wire-processing machinery, chamfering and grinding machines for the Automotive industry. Founded in 1948 by Emil Kunz, the historic Italian company has recently celebrated its 70th anniversary with a special event under the banner of innovation and tradition.
To mark this important occasion, OMD opened its doors to customers coming from all over the world. During the open house, the guests had the possibility to experience this business reality at first hand, appreciate the different phases of the production process and discover the novelties planned for 2019.
The guests then left the headquarter on a motorship for a cruise on the wonderful shores of Lake Como, blown along by a nice breeze. The itinerary had to include a stop in Bellagio, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the area.
Celebrations carried on with live music and a wonderful dinner in the Late Renaissance rooms of Palazzo Gallio in Gravedona, where the President, Mrs. Gabriella Kunz, took the opportunity to express a special word of thanks to all the participants.
Since its foundation, OMD has already developed several new technologies, many of which patented, establishing itself internationally as one of the major manufacturers of machines for the spring industry. 70 years have passed, but the company is still able to surprise its customers with constant growth and innovation.
