Mazak: four machines, one complete workflow at EuroBLECH 2026
At EuroBLECH 2026, running October 20-23 in Hannover, Mazak brings four machines under the spotlight covering the full sheet metal processing chain — tube, structural profiles, and flat sheet — with three brand-new models, alongside a new European debut.
European Premiere at EuroBLECH
EuroBLECH will serve as the launching pad for Mazak's newest addition to its lineup. The company is keeping the details under wraps for now, as the new machine will be unveiled live on the show floor at Hall 11, Stand D26.
FG-400 NEO6 kW: heavy-duty tube in one pass
The FG-400 NEO is Mazak's flagship machine for large-scale structural tubes, handling round tubes up to Ø406 mm (16") and square sections up to 305 × 305 mm, on workpieces stretching past eight meters.
A four-chuck setup keeps material stable through cutting, beveling, drilling, and tapping, while the 6 kW fiber laser source helps maintain high cutting speeds even on reflective materials like aluminum and copper. Other notable features include the SmoothTUBE CNC system, which runs the whole sequence from dual 21.5" touchscreens, and a B-axis bevel head designed to cut down on post-weld fitting work.
OPTIPLEX HP: 20 kW for thick and medium-thick plate
With the 3015 and 4220 models, the OPTIPLEX HP series introduces a new generation of high-power fiber lasers for thick and medium-thick plate, built around a SmoothCUT resonator rated up to 20 kW. The extra power translates into higher cutting speeds and productivity on medium and thick materials. Trials on 50 mm mild steel show controlled taper and clean, consistent edges.
Both models run identical axis speeds, 120 m/min on X and Y and 60 m/min on Z, and differ mainly in working area: 3,050 × 1,525 mm on the 3015 HP versus 4,120 × 2,050 mm on the 4220 HP. Grand Cut technology stabilizes material temperature under high output, and Mazak iCONNECT adds remote diagnostics and monitoring.
OPTIPLEX Ez-L: designed for everyday cutting
For standard production runs, the OPTIPLEX 3015 Ez-L pairs a 6 kW source with a redesigned body and cutting head, plus a SmoothCUT resonator and nozzle system carried down from Mazak's higher-end platforms, aimed at improving cutting stability and gas efficiency without pushing up the price.
Wide-opening doors speed up loading and unloading, while the machine's automation-ready architecture allows customers to easily scale production as requirements evolve. At the exhibition, the machine will be showcased together with the new CSSe automation system, designed to further increase autonomy, reduce manual intervention and maximize productivity through automated loading and unloading operations, enabling longer unattended production cycles and higher overall efficiency.
