Reduce, recover, and save: Violi’s automatic plant for chip compacting
Every metalworking company produces a substantial amount of metallic chips every day. Storing this production waste requires considerable space and the subsequent recycling is difficult and sometimes unprofitable.
Against this backdrop, Violi S.R.L. offers a complete line of chip briquetting machines. The VM / CTAR0-01, for example, allows the compression of turning and milling chips, considerably reducing their volume and cleaning the briquettes from assimilated liquids.
What are the advantages of the briquetting process?
- Up to 20% less volume;
- reduced storage costs;
- higher commercial value per briquette;
- fluids, oils, and lubricants can be recovered.
The VM / CTAR0-01 consists of a loading hopper (customizable on request) – where the material to be processed is placed – and an internal shredder, which shortens the chips. A conveying system feeds the hopper gradually. Inside, two augers push the material into the compacting chamber. Moreover, the plant is equipped with a liquid collection tank and a draining pump. Cycle management is carried out via PLC and a special chip presence sensor.
