Innovation on display: the robotic cell for roller welding

Among the new developments CEMSA will showcase at the fair is a compact robotic cell designed to automate the welding process of motorcycle fuel tanks. This solution integrates three main components:

- loading station: where the operator places the pre-assembled tank;
- MRT 80kVA INV roller welder: equipped with a welding inverter compliant with approval 5.0, it offers data logging, communication with external servers, and 40% energy savings compared to non-inverter models;
- handling robot: equipped with a pneumatic gripper specifically designed for the workpiece, it manages the loading, welding, and unloading stages.

This cell is ideal for sectors such as automotive, medical, and aerospace, where eliminating human error and ensuring complete traceability of welding parameters for each product is essential to certify the quality of the process.

The development of the robotic system and control interface was carried out in collaboration with RM Software Solutions, CEMSA's long-time technology partner specializing in the integration of high-value-added software and robotic solutions. The result is a fully automated, intuitive, safe cell, ready for Industry 5.0.
