Assomac’s wire drawing technologies at Wire Russia 2025

Assomac Machines Ltd. is back from Wire Russia 2025, held from June 3 to 5 at the Timiryazev Exhibition Centre in Moscow. The Indian company, a long-standing specialist in the development of complete wire drawing and processing lines, presented its latest technological advancements aimed at increasing efficiency, flexibility, and process control in wire and cable manufacturing.

Expanded international presence and market strategy

This marked Assomac’s second consecutive participation at Wire Russia, building on the successful 2024 debut. The company’s 2025 calendar included key industry events such as wire Mexico, Metal Flow Riyadh, and Interwire USA, underlining its focus on strategic international markets and region-specific applications.

Integrated solutions for high-performance wire drawing

Assomac designs and manufactures complete systems for drawing ferrous and non-ferrous wires, including high and low carbon steel and stainless steel. Core technologies include:

• dry drawing blocks with inverter drive and forced cooling systems
• wet drawing lines with high-speed capstans and closed-loop lubrication
• mechanical descaling units for scale removal without chemical treatment
• inline wire pointing, butt-welding, and cleaning devices
• vertical and horizontal spoolers with tension control modules

Typical applications include wire for fasteners, construction, welding electrodes, and general industrial use. Machines are designed for inlet diameters up to 12 mm and final diameters below 1 mm, with drawing speeds exceeding 25 m/s in optimized configurations.

Process engineering and production efficiency

All equipment is engineered in-house to ensure seamless system integration and long-term operational stability. Assomac's technical team provides process simulations, plant layout optimization, and custom automation interfaces, supporting clients with turnkey project management. Special attention is paid to energy consumption, maintenance intervals, and remote diagnostic capabilities.
