Continuus-Properzi to present a paper at WAI International Technical Conference
Each year the Wire Association International hosts an educational conference designed to unite industry experts from around the world to share their latest innovations within the wire and cable industry with their peers and colleagues. This year the WAI International Technical Conference will be held in Monterrey, Mexico on October 17-20, 2016.
Experts from the wire and cable industry will give technical and operational presentations throughout the conference on topics from their respective segments of the industry. Giuseppe Marcantoni, General Manager of Properzi International, Inc., the US subsidiary of Continuus-Properzi, S.p.A., will be presenting "Properzi Technology and Equipment". The presentation will provide a brief history of the Properzi Continuous Casting and Rolling (CCR) technology, highlight Properzi's developments in copper and aluminium CCR technology and equipment, and explore new technology areas including Pro-Form continuous rotary extrusion equipment, the utilization of the Properzi Microrolling® mill to produce self-annealing wire thereby providing savings in the rod breakdown operation, and off-line FRHC ingot casting to provide copper ingots that can be blended with cathodes during rod production.
