The DEM Group takes stock of the year 2016
"Morning after morning, day after day, week after week, time goes by until we notice another year is about to end. We put our best endeavors on our daily life to do the right things and we could scarcely remind to look back and enjoy our professional and personal targets.
This year has been challenging. Stimulating, though.
After ten years of an average yearly turnover increase of 25% we had to outdo ourselves to hit the mean again. As usual nothing was granted, competition was hard and projects were demanding.
On the sales side, DEM team had to travel the world to strenghten connections and share experience with new players. We took part in technical shows in different countries: Germany, India, Russia, Indonesia, UAE and Vietnam.
On the technical side, new solutions and refined applications have been engineered. Together with customers, also in 2016 we designed our way to technological innovation. Between others, a new OTO accumulation block with electronic control of the wire unwinding was manufactured. Also, a high performance rolling mill, capable of producing semi-finished wire with a minimum area of 2 mm2 was delivered to a producer of electrical conductors (see picture). More, a compact and smart solution that combines a cold rolling line with a stretching line for hot rolled material was developed.
So, we drove our way into the cold rolling market, tracking down new trends and setting new benchmarks at the forefront of tecnological innovation. Ready to spring into the new year."
