Interwire 2015: Gimax presents the new wet drawbench

Interwire 2015: Gimax presents the new wet drawbench

INTERWIRE 2015 is an important venue for Gimax – this year the company will not only be presenting the range of wire drawing equipment, but particular emphasis will be given to the newly updated and fully redesigned wet-drawbench.

The drawbench can be classed as a “wet draw” unit – the liquid lubricant is sprayed onto the die/wire. The main feature is that the drawbench is of the “NON SLIP” type, each capstan is individually driven, and the capstans themselves are positioned vertically.
Other features include low wear (dies and capstans), low energy consumption, low maintenance but high speed and high productivity – the productivity of the line does not depend solely on the line speed (which can reach 6000 feet/minute or 30 metres/second) but also on the reduced maintenance costs, extreme ease when threading wire through machine, maximum accessibility to all components, etc.

The wire has a reduced cast and helix making alignment between capstan and die extremely easy, and the result is an increase in wire quality.
The design of the unit makes it adaptable to both ferrous and non-ferrous wires, and the innovations are such that the unit qualifies for subsidies from the EU in support of innovative machinery.

Gimax is now in a position to offer a complete range of machinery for the wire industry (ferrous and non-ferrous):

Wire Process machinery:
Descaling, pickling, dry drawing and wet drawing benches, chemical coppering tanks, shaving and peeling lines

Wire Handling machinery:
Respooling, coiling and rewinding, drum packing, packaging machinery

On the Gimax stand one of the new drawbenches will be on display, as well as one of the traditional respoolers.
Visit the company at booth #140.
