Italian technology heading to India: Invimec's solution for silver rolling

Everything is ready at Invimec’s facilities for a new important international challenge. An advanced rolling line, custom-designed for an Indian company involved in precious metal processing, is about to depart for the subcontinent. This is a concrete demonstration of how mechanical expertise and the ability to listen to the customer can merge into a highly efficient solution.

A complete line for silver wire processing

At the heart of the project are two EFFE2009SD rolling mills with 14 stands, connected by a dancer roll, designed for the simultaneous rolling of a 10 mm diameter silver wire from continuous casting, down to a 1 mm square wire through 28 consecutive passes. The dancer roll synchronizes the two machines, enabling continuous production while preventing excessive tension and material breakage.

This solution represents a complete rolling line for precious metals, designed to guarantee maximum precision, finishing quality, and process repeatability.

SINGLE-DRIVE technology: control, precision, versatility

A distinguishing feature of the technology applied to EFFE models is the use of the SINGLE-DRIVE platform, designed to ensure maximum operational precision, centralized parameter management, and versatility. Used in various models – including EFFE2009SD, EFFE2010, EFFE2012SD, and EFFE2015 – it enables advanced control over the rolling process.

Each rolling stand is independent and individually adjustable, allowing for accurate management of every stage. This configuration is ideal for working with critical materials or those difficult to process with traditional systems. The operator has complete control over essential parameters – speed, wire tension, power consumption, and other technical values – via control panels and a touch-screen interface.

Compact models: EFFE2009SD and EFFE2012SD

The EFFE2009SD and EFFE2012SD models are designed for those looking for compact, technologically advanced solutions that give the most value for your investment. The electrical panel is incorporated into the machine, reducing the space required compared to models with an external electrical cabinet (such as EFFE2010 and EFFE2015).

These machines are accessible and maintainable from one side, thanks to the front-facing fixed stands. This design simplifies installation in confined spaces. They also represent an intermediate solution between traditional chain-drive models and higher-end models with independent stands, sharing many of their performance capabilities.

Derived from the EFFE2009 mechanical drive model, they offer a concrete evolution in terms of sturdiness and productivity, without compromising on rolling quality.
