Eight standard axes and servo-assisted central slide

The HTC80CQ (wire diameter 3-8 mm) comes standard with 8 CNC axes, with a key difference from the 80CLII: the servo-controlled central slide. In this configuration, the cutter, pitch slides, and mandrel move together.

In traditional systems, during the spring setup, when the outer diameter (OD) is adjusted, the mandrel must be moved vertically, which requires adjusting the cutter frequently. With the HTC80CQ's central slide, the mandrel and cutter are synchronized, eliminating the need for continuous adjustments and reducing downtime and errors.

Three-axis OD control for increased flexibility and robustness

A notable leap forward involves the control of the outer diameter: the HTC80CQ uses 3 axes, compared to the single axis of the 80CLII. The coiling tips are equipped with independent but perfectly synchronized motors, offering concrete advantages in production:

• fast right/left hand conversion without complex mechanical interventions;

• simplified setup, thanks to the ability to move each coiling point via servo during adjustment, minimizing mechanical adjustments;

• a more robust structure, with fewer linkages, connections, and bearings in the OD area: less mechanical gap and greater accuracy.
