MFL Group to showcase integrated wire and cable technologies at wire China 2026

MFL Group is taking part in wire China 2026, where the company will present its integrated machinery and technologies for wire, cable, and rope manufacturing. Visitors can meet the company’s specialists at Booth E1A31, Hall E1, and explore solutions covering drawing, stranding, extrusion, and treatment, complemented by digital services and comprehensive aftersales support. At wire China 2026, the company will place particular emphasis on technologies for High Voltage (HV) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) power cable production, including solutions for in-shore and off-shore applications.
Integrated solutions for HV and EHV cable production
MFL Group’s portfolio includes high-performance rod breakdown machines engineered to combine high productivity, excellent wire quality, and reduced energy consumption. The machines can be integrated with annealers capable of processing wire diameters above 8 mm and keystone conductors up to 50 mm², with outputs reaching 6,800 kg/h.
For large power cables, the company provides rigid cage stranders for up to 169 wires and 630/800 mm bobbins. The equipment combines mechanical stability and precise conductor positioning with the ability to process large cross-sections. Different reel-loading configurations are available, ranging from fully automated systems to compact solutions designed to optimize production space. MFL Group also offers dedicated rigid cage screening lines with optical fiber application capability.
The company’s extrusion technology is designed to further improve cable manufacturing efficiency, offering throughput increases of up to 40% and rapid compound changeovers without barrel disassembly. A patented extruder design, accurate melt temperature control, and stable processing conditions enable reliable processing of high-quality, CPR-compliant, and halogen-free compounds.
Drawing and stranding technologies for wire and rope
At wire China, MFL Group will also showcase its drawing, stranding, and closing technologies for standard and specialized wire and rope applications, alongside solutions for reinforcement steel production, including stretching, cold rolling, straightening, and cutting lines.
Among the featured technologies are planetary stranding and closing machines for high-efficiency steel rope production. Their configurable design enables production lines to handle different requirements for both standard and special products. Planetary stranding technology can also be used for power cable armoring, laying-up of large power cables, and Milliken cable production. Large planetary closing machines serve additional specialized applications, including the manufacture of umbilical cables.
Specialized drawing lines for demanding applications
MFL Group will also highlight its expertise in specialized drawing processes. Its drawing line for extruded aluminum pipes can handle multiple tube sizes and alloys and incorporates an in-line induction annealing system, combining thermal treatment and production within a single process.
For aluminum-clad steel wire, the company provides a dedicated drawing line featuring accumulation systems to reduce downtime, integrated quality control before take-up, specialized die technology, optimized lubricant management, and complete monitoring of drawing parameters.
These technologies reflect MFL Group’s approach to integrated wire, cable, and rope manufacturing, combining engineering expertise, production efficiency, and solutions for increasingly specialized applications.
Visitors to wire China 2026 can meet the MFL Group team at Hall E1, Booth E1A31 to learn more about its technologies for wire, cable, and rope production.
