New Promostar stretching machine with automatic cross-wire insertion ready for production

A new installation is never just a new machine. It is the final step in a process that begins much earlier, from understanding production requirements and engineering the most suitable solution to ensuring that every component works together as a single system.
This is the approach behind Promostar’s latest installation, a new automatic cross-wire insertion machine with wire stretching. The solution is designed to combine precision, process control, and production reliability, while integrating into an existing reinforcing mesh welding line at the customer's facility.
The machine is designed to stretch hot-rolled ribbed wire that is already ribbed and insert it crosswise, preparing it for the subsequent welding stage carried out by the rest of the line. The system can process wire diameters from 6 to 12 mm and, at maximum production capacity, reach a speed of 6-8 m/s.
Engineered around the process
The project involved more than mechanical design, focusing especially on:
- material flow analysis;
- wire tension and straightening control;
- synchronization of the various processing stages;
- process repeatability and product quality.
Built around the customer
Particular attention was also given to integrating the machine into the customer's actual production environment. Industrial performance, in fact, does not depend on a single component, but on how the entire process works as a whole.
For Promostar, this is where engineering creates real value: turning a production requirement into a reliable industrial solution designed to deliver consistent performance day after day.
