SAMP expands manufacturing capabilities and presence in Asia
In September, SAMP will participate in wire China 2026 at booth E1 D01, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to the wire and cable industry and to the China and Southeast Asian markets.
Founded in 1936, SAMP has built its business around the design, manufacture, and maintenance of wire and cable machinery. From a small, locally rooted enterprise, the company has developed into an internationally recognized industrial organization. Today, SAMP operates production sites in Italy, China, and Brazil, as well as a dedicated sales and service unit in the United States. China has been a strategic market for the company for more than two decades and continues to play a central role in its global development strategy.
A stronger SAMP China: investment, localization, and capability expansion
SAMP is now entering a new phase of growth in China, with significant investments aimed at expanding the capabilities of its Changzhou facility and strengthening its position as a fully operational manufacturing hub for the Asian region.
Product localization is a key part of this strategy. The objective is to ensure that machinery manufactured in China meets the same engineering, reliability, and performance standards associated with SAMP solutions worldwide.
SAMP China is also increasingly serving as a central hub for the entire Asian region, helping customers benefit from shorter delivery times, localized engineering expertise, and more responsive service.
To reinforce its commercial presence in Southeast Asia, SAMP is expanding its regional organization with new sales managers based in Bangkok. Fully integrated into the SAMP China organization, the team will focus on supporting customers throughout Southeast Asia.

Visitors to booth E1 D01 will have the opportunity to see the MLS DM80.1X16.22 \+ AN200M.16.16.3500, a SAMP solution designed for copper processing. The machine covers an outlet diameter range of 0.15–0.67 mm and reaches a maximum speed of 35 m/s. The solution combines SAMP's long-standing engineering expertise with its continued focus on technological development, while also reflecting the company's growing development and manufacturing capabilities in China.

2026 also marks SAMP's 90th anniversary, an important milestone for a company whose history in the wire and cable machinery sector dates back to 1936.
