SAMP Open Day: Job Opportunities for Young Graduates
SAMP, together with its 3 business units Samputensili, Sampsistemi and Sampingranaggi, opens employment doors to young graduates from the Faculty of Engineering. Out of the over 200 résumés received, 25 have been selected for the job interviews that took place on July, 9th at the company headquarters in Bologna (Italy), aimed at employing 8 young graduates from the Faculty of Mechanical, Electric and Industrial Engineering. The proposed training courses are designed to prepare participants for their chosen careers and include a coaching in the Corporate Offices (Financial Controlling, Marketing and Communication, Quality Management) as well as a meaningful experience in the Manufacturing, Sales, After-Sales and Purchasing Departments. At the end of the training, the young graduates will also have the opportunity to make an international experience in one of the SAMP subsidiaries abroad and to take part in the international activities of the company.
The SAMP Open Day has been organized with the support of the University of Bologna and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia with the purpose of promoting the interaction between academic world and industry. Similar activities have taken place a couple of years ago at other companies of the Maccaferri Industrial Group, namely Officine Maccaferri and SECI Energia.
Antonio Maccaferri, President of the SAMP Group, highlights the importance of the event: “Our company works in the field of fine mechanics, an engineering discipline for which the technical know-how of a young graduate is of utmost importance to become a competent professional. Therefore we have started a new way of recruiting employees that enables us to identify the most well-prepared and enthusiastic students. Our target is to support them in the building of a strong, professional profile, and at the same time we offer them an interesting international experience that will help them grow both professionally and personally."
