SAMP welcomes new CEO Marcel Baettig and strengthens executive leadership

SAMP Group has announced a major leadership transition as part of a broader strategic reorganization aimed at supporting innovation, operational efficiency, and long-term global growth. The company has appointed Marcel Baettig as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective February 1, 2025.
With extensive experience in high-tech industries, private equity, and global business transformation, Baettig brings a strong strategic vision to his new role. "Marcel is an exceptional leader with a proven ability to drive sustainable growth and operational excellence," said outgoing CEO Jouni Heinonen. "His strategic perspective, global experience, and intimate knowledge of SAMP make him the ideal person to guide the company into the future." Heinonen, whose appointment as CEO was intended to be transitional, will now focus on strategic roles at the Board level.
Key executive promotions to support growth
Alongside Baettig’s appointment, SAMP has reinforced its executive team with two significant internal promotions:
Giorgio Albertazzi has been named Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), a role he has held since January 2025. With over 20 years at SAMP and a background in economics, Albertazzi has played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s footprint across the EMEA region.
Matteo Nascetti has assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO), also effective since January 2025. A specialist in machinery and precision engineering, Nascetti has nearly two decades of industry experience.
