The energy of EIB women: heart, method, and vision

The energy of EIB women: heart, method, and vision

For over fifty years, EIB Srl has been operating in the field of automation and industrial electrical systems. From its headquarters in Northern Italy, the company designs and manufactures electrical panels, machine-side systems, and photovoltaic systems for the industry. A growth story built on expertise, dedication, and trust.

We spoke with Angela and Katiuscia Galloni, respectively the founder and managing director of the company, along with her brothers Fabrizio and Stefano, to tell the story of a company that blends tradition with innovation.

Angela, how did EIB start and what were the challenges in the beginning?

"On December 2, 1972, our company was born. My husband Franco worked day and night, mostly abroad, and I took care of everything needed to keep the business running: accounting, workers, customers, suppliers. In the beginning, there were no tools or certainties, but there was a lot of passion. We worked with few resources and a lot of mutual trust. There was respect for what had been agreed upon. That’s how we built the foundations of the company."

What do you think is the secret to lasting so long?

"Seriousness and respect. We’ve always kept our word, with both clients and collaborators. EIB has grown because it knew how to earn respect: not promising too much, but delivering well on everything promised. It only takes one half-hearted promise to make people lose faith; whereas things said well, well, no one gets alarmed."

Katiuscia, what does it mean for you to lead a company born into the family?

"It’s a great responsibility, but also a privilege. The backbone of this company is made up of the soul of the people, from my parents to everyone who has shared the journey. In the beginning, I went to the office just to help, without thinking that it would become a life choice: now, it is definitely my path. I’ve always been the youngest at home, and working in a traditionally male-dominated environment is not easy, but the trust and consideration from my brothers and the example of my parents have always been a great source of motivation for me."

How has the company evolved over the years?

"We’ve moved from a craft-based organization to a complete structure, with a CAD-PLC technical office, an internal assembly department, and after-sales service. Today, we handle complex automation projects, machine-side systems, and even photovoltaic solutions for the industry. Innovation is constant, but our values remain the same: listening, precision, and responsibility."

Automation is constantly evolving. In which direction is EIB moving?

"In recent years, we have focused on revamping and electrical retrofit projects: we renew existing systems, improving safety and performance without replacing the machines. We are also developing solutions for remote supervision and control, so our clients can monitor production in real-time. At the same time, we are committed to sustainability, offering ‘turnkey’ industrial photovoltaic systems."

Looking ahead, what are EIB's priorities?

"We will continue to invest in technology and training," concludes Katiuscia. "Our goal is to guide our clients through the digital transition, making automation more efficient, safe, and sustainable. But always with the same family spirit that has brought us this far, and continuing the tradition of having women in the company’s management. In fact, the third generation of Galloni women is already working in the company."

Today, EIB is a complete technological partner: it combines electrical experience, design capability, and a forward-looking vision. For more information or requests, contact the company using the provided references.
