ICMI Industrial Furnaces installs a bogie hearth furnace for stress relieving up to 100 tons

Recently, ICMI Industrial Furnaces completed the installation of a bogie hearth furnace for stress relieving heat treatment, designed to provide high temperature uniformity and great operational flexibility in the handling of heavy welded fabrications.

The bogie hearth furnaces designed and manufactured by ICMI represent a well-established solution for the heat treatment of large components intended for highly demanding industrial sectors.

Stress relieving heat treatment for large welded structures

Thermal stress relieving is a fundamental process used to reduce internal stresses generated during welding and fabrication of metal structures. Accurate control of the thermal cycle improves the mechanical properties of the component and ensures geometric stability during subsequent machining operations.
