Wipe off zinc and zinc aluminum excess during galvanizing processes
PWT Limited, wire mill solutions provider based in New Zealand, has developed a new system to wipe off the excess of zinc and zinc aluminum during galvanizing operations: Quantum™ EMW™ electro magnetic wiping system. A wide range of wire products can be processed: from wire for mesh to roping wire and PC wire.
The Quantum™ EMW™ system, developed and refined for 10 years before being launched on the international market, was designed with the idea of providing a high speed wiping system suitable with all carbon grades - from 0.06 to over 0.90 and wire sizes from 0.08to 8.0mm.
As most of the installation can be accomplished when the line is still running, customers will have a minimal interruption in their production capability. The Quantum™– EMW™ wiping head requires extremely low maintenance and supervision during production. The operator is only required to clean the surface of the zinc inside the Quantum™ EMW™ system every two hours, when he can also make a visual check of the wire alignment.
The system is noise free, clean and safe, and of course, it complies with the International health and safety standards.
