OMIG leads the way toward the new CE marking

Starting January 20, 2027, the new Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 will take effect, repealing the long-standing Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. For machine and plant manufacturers, this shift represents a major milestone that will redefine safety standards, documentation procedures, and responsibilities across the entire production chain.

OMIG Srl, a company specializing in the design of electroplating systems and technical consulting, is acting early—taking concrete steps to deliver solutions that are already aligned with the upcoming European regulation and meet the industry’s future requirements.

A new framework for the manufacturers of tomorrow

The new Regulation establishes a stricter and more consistent approach, directly applicable in all EU member states. Key innovations include reinforced control measures for high-risk machinery and equipment with integrated software, mandatory safety assessments for control systems and human–machine interfaces, and the possibility to provide digital manuals and declarations—on the condition that they remain permanently accessible and up to date.

In addition, the Regulation clearly defines the roles and responsibilities of manufacturers, importers, and distributors, ensuring a more transparent and accountable supply chain.

OMIG takes the lead: safety and expertise for customers

Anticipating change means being ready before it’s required. OMIG has initiated an internal review process involving every stage of production. The company has recalibrated risk analyses according to the new hazard categories, updated technical documentation, and implemented digital manuals for a leaner and more sustainable workflow. At the same time, the company is investing in continuous training for its technical staff, ensuring that all the know-how remains aligned with the latest safety requirements.

Choosing OMIG means being ready for the future

Complying today with tomorrow’s standards is not only about conformity—it’s a mark of reliability and innovation. With OMIG, manufacturers and users of electroplating systems gain access to solutions developed in full compliance with the latest safety regulations, backed by a partner who knows how to transform regulatory complexity into a competitive advantage.
