Frigerio & Duroni awarded for 75 years of business

During the 2025 annual assembly of Confapi Lecco Sondrio, held this past May, Frigerio & Duroni was honored for its 75 years of operation. The award was presented in recognition of Frigerio & Duroni’s longstanding contribution to both the local and national industrial landscape, as well as its unwavering commitment to quality, reliability, and innovation.

Confapi Lecco Sondrio is the local chapter of the Italian Confederation of Small and Medium Private Industry, which supports and promotes SMEs in the provinces of Lecco and Sondrio.

Founded in 1950 in Italy, Frigerio & Duroni specializes in the production of drawn wire and metal mesh for industrial applications. The event was a valuable occasion to celebrate the company’s impressive growth over the decades and its ability to adapt to the constant evolution of the market.

Metal wire rooted in tradition and tailored precision

Frigerio & Duroni specializes in wet drawing of low and medium carbon steel and iron wire, with diameters ranging from 0.30 mm to 1.80 mm.

Thanks to its fully in-house production process, the company maintains complete control over the entire manufacturing cycle. This ensures excellent quality not only in the raw materials used, but also in the surface finish and dimensional precision of the wire. The finished product is used across a wide range of industries, including small metal parts, brush and broom stamping, graphic and bookbinding sectors, packaging, and the production of corrugated PVC pipes.

Spiral mesh for insulation

This honeycomb wire mesh is primarily used for pipe insulation, specifically in steam-tracing systems. Made from C6 galvanized wire or AISI 304 stainless steel, it offers high durability and strength, even under extreme thermal conditions.

- mesh size 10/12, wire Ø 0.90 mm or 1.00 mm;
- standard rolls: 30 sqm (2 × 15 m) or 15 sqm (1 × 15 m), with heights ranging from 1 to 2 m;
