A new wire rod bell-type annealing furnace for Metallurgica Locatelli

Metallurgica Locatelli inaugurates 2020 by putting into operation a new wire rod bell-type annealing furnace.

"After an accurate test and control phase in December 2019, we are proud to announce the broadening of our product range. We now offer wire rod annealing both for third parties and for sale”, says Mr. Giovanni Locatelli, Sales Director of the Italian company.

Installed in the new shed specifically built in 2019, the new furnace has a maximum capacity of 24 tons and will allow the company to increase its annual output by about 6,000 tons.

Metallurgica Locatelli operates in the low carbon steel wire drawing sector. Established in 1920 by Fortunato Locatelli, the small workshop has turned into a joint-stock company with a workforce of about 40 people, covering a surface of 20,000 square meters.
