Trafilerie Assi expands its range: new diameters available from stock

Starting in May 2025, Trafilerie Assi will strengthen its production capacity with a significant expansion of the dimensional range for some of the most requested grades of free-cutting steel. The update includes both round and hexagonal bars, which will also be available in small quantities or for limited batches.

More options for 36SMnPb14 and 11SMn30

As for 36SMnPb14 steel, the standard range will be extended beyond the current maximum diameter of 60 mm; it will now be possible to order round bars in Ø65, available from stock to meet the increasing customer demand.

The update is even more significant for 11SMn30 steel. Until now, production easily covered diameters up to Ø42, with Ø45 and Ø50 available upon request. Starting from the end of May, Trafilerie Assi will offer a complete range from Ø42 up to Ø65, and also Ø70, Ø75, and Ø80.

Hexagons with no range gaps

The expansion also applies to the hexagonal section; the range integration will allow coverage of previously missing, though requested, formats such as 16 mm and 28 mm across flats, thereby completing the availability in this category as well.

Immediate availability, even for small batches

All the new products will be stocked and immediately available. This means that even small quantities or special productions can be fulfilled quickly, without waiting for long lead times of steel mills or having to meet minimum production quantities.
