Trafilerie San Paolo: a new environment-friendly wire rod pickling plant

Trafilerie San Paolo has recently installed an innovative wire rod pickling line: in addition to improving productivity, the new plant will be key to reducing the corporate overall environmental footprint.
Here are the main features.

- The pickling section will recover 99% of the sulfuric acid treatment solution for more eco-friendly chemical processes.

- Dual-function tank lids. They contain the emission of aeriform effluent and reduce the energy needed to heat the process tanks.

- The scrubber purifies the sucked fumes, leading to a consistent reduction of the gas wastes’ environmental impact.
