Stainless steel spring wire

Raajratna Italy supplies high-performance stainless steel and nickel-coated spring wires, manufactured by its parent company Raajratna Metal Industries Ltd. The wires are available in various grades and finishes, with diameters ranging from 0.06 mm to 22.00 mm, ensuring maximum dimensional precision and excellent mechanical strength.
Technical features
Raajratna spring wire is available in different hardness grades — half hard (1/2), three-quarter hard (3/4), and full hard — and can be supplied with normal or high tensile strength.
• Diameter range: 0.06 mm to 22.00 mm
• Surface finishes: bright or stearated
• Reference standards: ASTM A313, EN 10270-3, EN ISO 6931-1, JIS G4314 / BS 2056, DIN 17224
• Available alloys: stainless steels AISI 302, 304, 316, 631 (17-7PH), and special alloys such as Nitronic 50, Inconel X-750, and AISI 904L (on request)
Each production batch undergoes tensile testing, eddy current inspection, and uniformity checks to ensure full compliance with required tolerances.
Nickel-coated spring wire
Raajratna also manufactures nickel-coated spring wire, available in coated or bright-coated versions. Nickel treatment ensures:
• optimal lubrication during spring coiling
• longer tool life during winding
• dust-free processing
• improved cleanliness and weldability after treatment
• no color alteration after tempering
Surface finish
The wire can be drawn dry or in oil, resulting in either a bright or stearated finish. Both versions feature a thin nickel layer that enhances lubricating properties and reduces wear during processing.

• large plastic spools (SH390K, SH460K), 15–40 kg
• wooden reels (550/760K), 100–400 kg
