Guida Impianti installs a new slitting line in North America

Guida Impianti has successfully delivered and installed a new slitting line in North America, complete with fully automatic packaging. The system handles materials up to 1,829 mm wide and from 0.3 to 6.35 mm thick. Designed for coils up to 30 tons, it offers advanced technology for cutting ferrous and non-ferrous materials used in construction, automotive, and industrial applications.
Technical features
The line combines solid mechanical design with precise electronic control. It manages coils from 406 to 1,829 mm in width, inner diameters from 508 to 610 mm, and outer diameters up to 1,803 mm, with a maximum weight of 36 tons. Material thickness ranges from 0.3 to 6.35 mm, suitable for both thin sheets and medium-gauge coils.
Operating speeds reach 300 meters per minute for thin materials and 150 meters per minute for thicker ones, ensuring stable feeding and consistent cut quality. The system is also designed to process high-strength materials at full thickness capacity.
Materials and workflow
The line can process galvanized, painted, stainless steel, and aluminum materials, dry or lubricated. This flexibility allows users to broaden their production range without structural modifications. The left-to-right feed direction makes it easy to integrate with existing lines.
With its focus on detail, custom design, and adaptability, Guida Impianti continues to deliver high-performance solutions worldwide. For more information on versatile coil slitting systems, contact the company’s technical team.
