Guida Impianti joins the Comas Group: new opportunities for coil processing

With a strong background in slitting and cut-to-length lines, the Guida brand continues to be a key player in sheet metal processing. The company now enters a new stage of development by becoming part of the Comas Group—an international provider of turnkey industrial systems—alongside its long-standing partner, Barni Spa.
Technology for sheet metal cutting
Guida is recognized for quality and innovation in sheet metal cutting and processing. With more than 800 lines installed worldwide and a commercial presence in over 25 countries, the company has built a solid reputation through custom solutions and an internal division focused on research, development, and after-sales support.
Its product portfolio includes slitting lines, cut-to-length lines, and custom systems for service centers and manufacturers of welded tubes and open profiles.
Joining the Comas Group: a broader international outlook
In 2025, Comas S.p.A. acquired full ownership of Guida to strengthen the group's position in strategic markets and enhance its coil processing technologies. This move marks an important step in creating an industrial hub capable of global competition.
The new structure supports investments in research, local technical service networks in key markets, and targeted expansion into the United States, India, and South America, with a focus on the aluminum and stainless steel sectors.
Through collaboration with other companies in the group, Guida will benefit from a larger infrastructure and cross-functional expertise, improving service quality. The company’s longstanding focus on custom solutions is now supported by a more structured industrial approach, enabling it to meet the demands of a constantly evolving market.
Guida’s main clients include leading steel producers (Arcelor Mittal, Voestalpine, Thyssenkrupp), service centers (Marcegaglia, EMW, Daming), and major manufacturers in the automotive and appliance sectors (ATA Arvedi, Prolamsa, China Steel).
